Show map

Quietly and calmly she glides through the archipelago on Sommen, a delightful adventure beyond "every day" experience.

S/S Boxholm II is one of Sweden´s last wood-heated steamships. She was built in 1904 as a barge- and timber ship. In 1922 the stern was rebuilt and seats were put in. Since 1966 she operates only as a passenger ship. The ship is registered for 70 passengers and 3 crew members. Her top speed is 10 knots. Both engine and steam boiler are original. The afterdeck has a roof and in case of bad weather there are side boards that can be pulled down. Toilet onboard. The S/S Boxholm II operates by schedule from the first week of July to the 31 th of August. Other times, May-August by agreement.
